Meet Dr. Johnson

Dr. Johnson and his team can’t wait to meet you! Dr. Johnson is a graduate of Munster High School (1996), Purdue University (BS 2001), and Indiana School of Optometry (OD 2005).

After graduation, Dr. Johnson practiced in Maryland, where he was awarded Young Optometrist of the Year (2012) and Optometrist of the Year (2016) for his dedication to the profession.

Dr. Johnson recently moved back to Northwest Indiana to be closer to family and is excited to become part of the Lowell small business community. When he isn’t spending time with his patients, he enjoys spending time with his wife (Becky) and 2 small children (Will and Annika).

Located in the bank building built in 1900 on East Commercial Avenue, you immediately notice the unique blend of our character and Lowell’s history when you step into our practice. There’s even a bullet hole in the wall from when infamous gangster John Dillinger robbed the bank in the 1930s—see if you can spot it!
